Gigi Hadid wowed on the Met Gala 2023 red carpet Monday, wearing an edgy black Givenchy Haute Couture ensemble.
The 27-year-old supermodel strutted her stuff at the fashion-heavy event as she posed in a strapless corset top and a low-rise black skirt embellished with feathers.
She completed the ensemble with a black tulle overlay that flowed into a daring train, and three strings of pearls around her neck.
Hadid added a pair of sheer gloves, simple stud earrings, Calzedonia tights ($10) and a pair of black stilettos for her eighth appearance at the annual fashion event.
She styled her blonde tresses in long mermaid waves.
This year’s Met Gala theme pays homage to legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who died in 2019 at the age of 85 — and Hadid certainly would have made him proud in her standout look.
The mom of one was close friends with the late Chanel designer, even appearing on the May issue of Vogue in his honor alongside Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, Amber Valletta and more.
Hadid shared her excitement about the Lagerfeld-themed event, sharing photos with the iconic designer ahead of the Met Gala.
“I feel so lucky to have experienced this legend!” she wrote on Instagram. “He is so very missed… I can’t wait to see all the fashion houses pay tribute to him creatively!!”
Tonight’s outfit follows the bold Versace look she wore to last year’s gala, covering up a red latex catsuit with a huge puffer coat featuring a train.
Whether it was her 2021 strapless white Prada gown or the ice queen-inspired catsuit she wore to 2019’s camp-themed event, Hadid knows how to make a Met Gala statement.
However, one of her most memorable Met Gala looks wasn’t a dress, but a $2,000 chrome manicure.
The catwalk star sported pricey silver nails with crystals under the tips to the 2016 Met Gala, making her red carpet debut with then-boyfriend Zayn Malik.
The couple share 2-year-old daughter Khai, but ended their off-and-on relationship in 2021.
